The Twilight Saga - The films

Hello everyone,

Over the past weeks I've been busy blogging about the Twilight books, as I've been reading them all before the release of the last film in the saga. Now I have also watched the films again, and FINALLY the day has come, tonight (which will be tomorrow by the time we get to see it) I will have seen the last film in the saga. I'm excited and sad... because I feeling like I've been waiting ages (Years) for this last film, but sad as i know once I've seen it there will be no more. However I do know all good things must come to an end. Therefore as I'm dying to see this last film, i going to see it just after midnight... Yes i don't care if you think I'm crazy.

When I get home after watching this film, I shall share my thoughts on how I think they have done portraying this film for page to screen... Remember its only my opinion, and i don't intend to give away the ending, as that would just spoil it for everyone.

Breaking Dawn - Twilight - Book review

I've been keeping myself busy with reading the Twilight books, and the last book in the saga is Breaking Dawn, the biggest of all of them, with so much going on in this book to keep you interested.
The book is split into three, with the first part of the book from Bella's point of view, moving on to Jacob. Then back to Bella. This is the only book in the main saga that is told from someone else's point of view.
Jacob helps you see from the outside of the vampire family, however you know he had a distaste for them, but he is always willing to protect Bella no matter how much it hurts him emotionally.

You need to look at this book as three parts. Firstly Bella choosing Edward over everything else in her life, a beautiful wedding, and being able to choose to spend the rest of her life with the man she loves (Or if she gets her way the rest of her time in this world). However when things change so does Bella view on what she wants in her life. The second part is from Jacob, how he feels about Bella, which you mostly already know from the past three books, but how he knows he will do anything for even when he is unsure of the future from her decisions. When he finds out Bella is pregnant he believes the baby is just going to kill her and nothing more. Jacob feels the Cullens her not helping Bella by going along with her decision, well some are in agreement with Jacob.
Then lastly when the books returns to Bella's point of view. When she survive the birth, but isn't human any longer, how she feels about being a mother. Her reaction to how Jacob now feels about her daughter, and that maybe she now has her happily ever after... Or not when she finds out the Volturi want her dead because of her daughter. Bella and her new vampire family know they must fight to save them all, including Jacob. Their only hope is to get as many other vampires on their side to stop the Volturi and save everyone.

This is a gripping book, and creates a wonderful end to a beautiful set of books that I love reading. So many moments that stand out in this book, my favourite being the arm wrestle between Emmett and the newly turned Bella.

I hope you have ebjoyed these books as much as i have and know that they are always there to pick up and read...

Book review - Remember Me?

Helping to find what is her perfect life, however its not as perfect as she first thinks. Lexi tries to find what she really want, which might not be what she has got.

How you feel about where you are in years to come if you didn't know how you got there?

A wonderful read.

Eclipse - Twilight Saga

Hi again,

Yes, I've been busy reading!! Now I'm rereading my favourite book of the twilight saga. I love the romance between the character, this strange "Love Triangle". How both Edward and Jacob are both fighting for Bella's love but also to keep her alive. You also get to find out much more about the other members of the Cullen family, Jasper and Rosalie, and how they became part of the Cullen family.

So much happens in this book, leading up a massive fight near the end. New born vampires are introduced, which helps give Bella an idea of what she could be like when she is turned into one of the Cullens. Now, knowing she wants to become one of the Cullen's she now understands how much of her human life she is going to have to give up . Not just her humanity but her family and friends, which includes her best friend, Jacob. Will he ever be able to forgive her and has she made the right decision, because until her heart stop beating he will be fighting for her.



I now just have Breaking Dawn left in the saga.

Film review - Skyfall

Dear film lovers,

Last night at last I got to see the newest of the Bond films "Skyfall". My friends and I headed to our local cinema to catch this big screen blockbuster.

 

The film is 2 Hours 23 Minutes long, BUT it never felt like that! So much happening in this film to keep you glued to the screen and fixed in your seat. You are straight in on the action from the start of the film with James Bond in pursuit of the man he needs. We get to see a car chase too!!

I don't want to give to much away, but there are women, cars and plenty of fighting!! The gadgets aren't featured highly however with so much else going on you don't really miss them that much... Well that's my opinion. M played by Judi Dench gets a much bigger role in films, she isn't just standing at Head Quarters shouting the orders, but in no way is she in control in this film. Plenty of action to get your teeth into, with gun fights, car chases and explosion's, very thing you want from a Bond film. I do think this is one of the best Bond films ever made!!

 

Might have to head out to the cinema again to see this Bond film, because waiting for the DVD will just be too long.

New Moon - twilight saga book

Hiya,

Well we are in November and the weather is showing it!! Cold wet days, I'm wrapping up warm making sure I stay away from getting a nasty cold. However I've been waiting for November.... Finally the last of the Twilight films, "Breaking dawn part 2", hits cinemas in the UK on 16th November!! YES, I've already booked my ticket!! (Midnight showing...Again).
So with time to kill before I finally get to see this, I've been busy quickly reading through the whole set of books again, just so I'm fully excited for the film..... Yes I'm a bit crazy, but it makes me happy.

Therefore I've been reading New Moon, the second book in the set.

This is a lovely book, however it is sad in places, you see how Bella copes, or doesn't cope when Edward leaves her. To the outside world its normal teenager's breaking up, but for Bella her whole life has changed! I hate it when Edward leaves, a friend of mine who read this book said she kept reading waiting for Edward to return... She finally went to sleep when Alice returned to check on Bella.
In this book we get to met Jacob, who features highly in this novel (he did make appearance in Twilight), I love reading how his relationship builds with Bella, helping to bring her back.

My favourite part of this book is near then end... from the chapter "Verdict".


Now, I'm off, moving on to Eclipse. - My favourite of the books.

Gig - The killers

For all you music lovers,

On Wednesday my friend and I went along to Birmingham LG Arena, to see The Killers!!! Now I was meant to go with another friend of mine however he was unable to make it so I asked another friend of mine and offered to buy part of her ticket for her birthday. (She was happy to take up this offer!)
We had our place in seated (We need to chill with work in the morning) with a good view of the stage. The support act was "Tegan Sara" who I haven't heard of before, but were good and got the crowd started. The Killers came out with a start about Halloween - Well it was 31st October - Asking if we wanted a trick or treat, then started right into Bones... Perfect for Halloween with the drummer dressed in a skeleton outfit!!
Brandon and the band were on top form, gives us hit after hit, with also many songs off of their new album "Battle Born" (Which I still need to acquire). These included their new singles "Runaways" and "Miss Atomic Bomb" which are such great tunes from the band. But of course the band from Las Vegas, played their main hits which had the whole crowd wanting more. I know when they played "Mr Brightside" I was singing at the top of my lungs!! (I felt sorry for everyone around me after). It was pure indie pleasure night for sure.
I'm so glad I got to see this band, and I'm hoping they will be at a festival next year... (Maybe Reading???)
