My Nan's birthday gift!

Hey everyone,

I'm still busy writing many post for you all to enjoy, many from what i was busy doing last month and I'm still catching up on my life. Well it was my Nannie's birthday and a special one for her, so I really had to think what to get a person who is a shopaholic like me! I couldn't find much on the high street i really liked, so instead i searched the web, when I came across the site www.notonthehighstreet.com and found many great ideas! I wanted some thing personal for her to keep, I came across the perfect gift... I thought I'd ask my brother and Cousins if they'd like to come in on the gift with me as it would help with the cost.
I found a beautiful bracelet, you can add as many heart that you like. You can
add details to the front and back. One side I put each of the granchildren's and great granchildren's names and the other their date of birth.

My Nannie was very please with her gift and has been showing it to all her friends.

I also made her a special card:
I also brought her flowers for her to enjoy.

Hope you all have a nice week,

Love Lolly

Afternoon,

Last week it was my parents wedding anniversary. It wasn't a big one... like a special number. But 31years is still a big deal. They didn't want anything but I had to make them a card.
Just a little something.

Reading Festival 2013

Hellooo,

This August Bank holiday weekend I spent it in a field.. but not just any field, just outside Reading where Reading festival was taking place, a weekend full of music. It was a chill away from normal life which was just what i needed!
I went to the festival last year and was lucky to see two of my favourite bands plus many more. The main reason I booked the ticket for this year was that I wanted to see Eminem, an artists I've loved since I was 10.. and my brother had his songs, I would sing them all day. Anyway getting back to the festival, i went with my friend who wanted to see many of the bands too.

The Camping
We camped in Brown camp as we had parked in the white car park, so it was closer walk. For anyone planning to go in the future, you are best to go early!! That way you get a better camping stop, each time I've had to leave later due to work and this doesn't help when you get there, as there isn't much space left. Luckily we squeezed between two tent (I asked first) and had just enough room to put up our tent.
When camping, I find taking minimal is the best choice, remember you've got to carry it all, so a rucksack full of your essentials, a sleeping bag, roll mat, tent and any food and drink you may want.

The Music

The main area for the festival had got bigger, there was extra stages. Overall there was 8 different stages;

  • Main Stage
  • NME/ BBC Radio 1 Stage
  • BBC Radio 1 Dance Stage
  • Lock Up/ Rock stage
  • Festival Republic Stage
  • BBC 1 Xtra Stage
  • Alternative Stage
  • BBC introducing stage
With all these stages, there's plenty to choice from. We checked the day before to see the times when acts were playing, but you can buy a weekend program which costs £10. This helps you find out all the clashes on each of the stages, but also know where you favorite acts maybe.

We mostly spent time at the Main stage and NME/ BBC Radio 1 stage as that was where the acts i liked were playing. I saw:
  • Green day
  • Eminem
  • Chase and status
  • White lies
  • Biffy Clyro
  • Fall out boy
  • The Lumineers
  • Editors
  • Don Broco
  • Hadouken!
  • A$AP Rocky
  • Bastille
  • Frightened Rabbit
  • Peace
  • Kodaline
  • Dry the river
  • Imagine Dragons
  • Palma Violets
  • Haim
  • The Dog is dead
  • The 1975
  • Half moon run
It did take a lot of running from one stage to another... But it was planned out in the morning as we were getting ready to head to the arena.

There is plenty of food venders to choice from! Including giant Yorkshire puddings with meat, veg and gravey. Burgers, pizza, chips, pasta, the list goes on. All plenty of bars to make sure you are enjoying yourself too.

Overall I loved this year at Reading Festival... Every time I hear a song from the festival, I'm wishing I could go back and hear them all again. Now I'm just waiting to know who's playing next year, to know if I should go again!

Back to ballet...

Hello,
Last night I went back to the studio, I had a ballet lesson, it was my first since July due to the summer break. However this was an extra lesson as my main lessons don't start for another two weeks, but I didn't realise till I was there how much I've missed it! Once in my shoes I just wanted to keep dancing... I feel at home.

I'll soon be back full time (once a week) for the autumn/ winter term.

We all want a fairy tale...

Evening everyone,

I'm writing this post as a friend has put the thought in my head. Like me she is single, and has been for a while. Between us we always talk about men, what we look for in a man, what we would love about a relationship and the future. However first we have to find the right man... And one that will have us too. I think I'm probably the worse when it come to dating... It scares the shit out of me. I've be hurt in the past by a few different guys, therefore I'm reluctant to give myself away.
However I know I'm never going to have my "happy ever" after if I don't go out and meet guys. I look at my friends and I'm jealous by their relationships... One couple have recently got married, another are planning their wedding for next year, another have just brought their own house, and even some friends who have got children, who have created a happy little family. BUT I need to stop looking at what everyone else has got! That's their life, their dreams, their way. Society wants us to be a certain way and has made us believe we need to be in a relationship to be happy!
NOPE! You need to be happy with your life before you can be happy in a relationship, because once you are happy with yourself, someone will find you more attractive.
You don't need to be sitting around waiting for someone else to tell you, "you are beautiful". Just be you, because when you least expect it, that perfect person for you will appear. - I can't promise this, but don't waste time waiting, enjoy what you have got.. Spend time with your friends and family... You never know who you could meet next. The world is massive, you need to explore, cause I'm sorry not everyone gets to meet the man of their dreams at school or even the boy next door. I blame Disney a little as I always think of myself as a princess waiting for my prince. But I'm not going to sit in my tower waiting to be Rescued, Na that's not me, I'm going out with my girls having a laugh. The right guy will at some point will walk into my life, I need to not get work up waiting for him to hurry his ass up.

All the single ladies put your hands up, your little black dresses on... Go out and enjoy life!

Love to you all,

Love lolly
