6 days till Foo Fighter at MK bowl

Morning!

Its bank holiday Monday today, the weather looks a bit questionable, who knows what its going to do, but I'm gonna be busy working today anyway. While I'm gonna enjoy work, I'll be looking forward to the weekend, to seeing The Foo Fighters at MK Bowl, I'm just a little excited as you may be able to tell.
I've got another song to share with you,

Too alarming now to talk about
Take your pictures down and shake it out
Truth or consequence, say it aloud
Use that evidence, race it around

There goes my hero
Watch him as he goes
There goes my hero
He's ordinary

Don't the best of them bleed it out
While the rest of them peter out
Truth or consequence, say it aloud
Use that evidence, race it around

There goes my hero
Watch him as he goes
There goes my hero
He's ordinary

Kudos, my hero
Leaving all the best
You know my hero
The one that's on

There goes my hero
Watch him as he goes
There goes my hero
He's ordinary
There goes my hero
Watch him as he goes
There goes my hero
He's ordinary

My Hero Taken from the album The Colour and The Shape.

I think Dave is one of my hero's in life, the way he is for his fans, the whole band inspire their fans. Songs can mean so much to different people, i know i couldn't live in world without music, it can change my moos in a moment... It can bring joy, tears and remind you of moments you may of thought you had forgotten about. To everyone each song is different... I love music, I like many different types, from classic tunes from the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, 00's and present. I can sing a song i haven't heard in years and remember the lyrics plus with some the dance moves too! I'm listening to music as i write this, my phone on shuffle playing a song i might not of heard in a while... My perfect time is when I'm driving, It's just me in the car, with my music playing.

"That's one of the great things about music. You can sing a song to 85,000 people and they'll sing it back for 85,000 different reason." - Dave Grohl

This quote from Dave is just so true...

Hope you all have a good week. See you Sunday Foo's!!!

One week till foo fighters

Hey,

I'm on count down till I get to see the Foo Fighters, after their gig in June got cancelled I was so excited when I heard they would be doing another gig here in the UK, plus over joyed when I found out they were playing Milton Keynes Bowl, as its close to where I live.

I've been listening to them loads since getting these tickets, which I love replaying their songs over and over again, I'm sorry to anyone who has to listen to me sing.

I wanted to share some of their songs with you, and if you have seen some of my post on my blog before back in June when I was counting down to their gig at Wembley I though I'd do the same again, I'm gonna share some different songs from last time.

Holding my breath I waited and waited
How'd the simple life get so complicated?
Shoes to fill, secrets to spill down you

Deer in the headlights, spoke in the wheel
You want pretend I need for real
I'm taking it back, all my IOU's

You got a lot of nerve
Now show a little backbone why don't you

Back and Forth Taken from the album Wasting Light.

I'm glad that Dave Grohl is feeling better that he up to performing for his fans. I know loads of people going either on the saturday or the sunday, we are all so excited to hear the band, but just to rock out.

So excited for next week....

Feel positive

Morning,

It's a new day, and with each new day we need to start it feeling positive even if its the last thin you want. Yeah the problems of yesterday haven't gone away, but you've made it to another day, a fresh start. I'm a lover of quotes, little sayings so i thought I'd share some with you to hopefully bring a little bit of joy into your life today.

  1. Focus on what you want in life:

2. In life you might not have it all, but be thankful for everything you have, sometimes the smaller things mean the most.

 3. Its never to late in life to change, we can do it every day. Be like the butterfly.

 4. You are the only person who is you! There will never be anyone who is like you, so do just want you need to do in life.

5. You can give all your time to everyone else, but the best person you can spend time with is yourself, do something today and each day that is just for you. It can be as simple as 5 minutes quiet time with a cup of tea.

 6. We all have shit days... but look at them as see what you can learn from them. It might have been crap at the time, but if you learn from it you can make it into a positive.

 7. I love this one... enjoy the little things in life, just do what you wanna do.

 8. When the days seem dark, believe that things will change, or you make a change then you can look back and enjoy the happy times.

9. When you think its end, its not. Its just the start of something new, the next amazing adventure.

10. This is the truth, nothing is set in stone. Just look at the weather, it can change so quick (In the UK it does all the time). If you aren't happy start by making small changes, then you will be ready for a big change. If you don't do it you'll never know.

 11. A quote from a lovely man who the world still misses loads.
12. This is the main one in life, no matter what just "Be Present" or you could miss out on the amazing parts of life that you always wanted.

I hope these make your day a little bit better, I know I try and use them on my days.

Getting lost in life

Heyyy,

Yep its Monday again, the start of the working week for many people. This Monday I'm lucky I've got the day off (Only as I worked all last week and needed a day off). Outside the weather is a typical British summer... Rain. Yeah, so I'm at home trying to get the million and one jobs done that I've put off the last few weeks due to work, and oh yeah the social life i love having. Today my mind is full, i just feel the need I must write. I love to read as you know if you've read my book reviews which i still need to do more. But reading has taken a bit of a back seat at the mo, I've been enjoying my job trying to get used to the change in my life, mainly get to grips with it, be the best i can be. I'm in my second month of this job, looking back, its the best move I've ever made. Change isn't always good, but you need to make the right choice in life, not all roads led to the same place. Happiness is something you create, in any situations you need to find the bad, kick it out to make something positive, that's just how I view life.
Anyway we are nearing the end of August already... where is this year going? Yep it will be Christmas before we know it. That remind me better start my shopping soon *Wink*. Today I'm taking a break, I'm watching the rain thinking of life... Am i happy? For the first time in years i can say "Yes". This doesn't mean everything in my life is just how i want it... But I'm enjoying everything i have, the people who are in my life, the places i visit, just smiling that I'm alive and living my life doing stuff i love. Yeah I don't have my own house yet. But i have a roof over my head, a place i can call home no matter what. I have my health, that more than many can say, my body is far from perfect though. Do i have a boyfriend? Nope, i haven't found one that wants to keep me, that works with me, makes me a better person or deserves my time. Yep there have been guys, ones i thought id change the world for, but won't change their world for me. Am i worried? Na, I'm in my 20's i need to enjoy being single, doing what ever i want not worrying about someone else. I can go where ever i want, (I travelled to the USA to visit a friend once, might not have done that if i was with someone). Don't get me wrong, i do want someone, one that will work with me, travel the world, fight to keep us together, enjoy this crazy life we have been given. Yeah i know it won't be easy but the best things in life aren't, that's what makes them worth while. But I'm not killing myself over anything. I love my friends, they are the people i truly care about. The late night phone calls when either of you feel down, just want to rant about crap. The people who hug you before you even say anything as they can just tell you need them, also they are the people to get to enjoy the best moments in your life. Yep, i have the most wonderful friends in the world that are perfect for me. They might not be everyone's taste, i don't care, they are mine... These are the people i give my time to, the one thing in life that we are given for free. I welcome new people into my life every day. I like to think of myself as a happy go lucky girl. I smile to everyone, say hello, even if i don't like you much. Everyone is different, I don't expect to like everyone, nor everyone to like me... Dam if they did, life would be boring. Manors are for the classy, worth more than money can ever buy, just free to give.
Overall i just felt the need to write today, one day I will write a book. Not about my life, dam i need to do something interesting for that to happen, more the stories in my head. I love reading, but writing is something i keep close to my heart, the most i share is in this blog. Yep your lucky if your reading this... or I'm sorry for your time you are using to reading this. We all need a release in life, find something we enjoy.

I'll leave you with this note: Smile... No matter what! It will make you feel stronger, there is nothing you can't face. Life is crazy. Roll with it, fight it, dam just don't lay down and take crap, its not worth your time.

This i found online is just perfect

Love to you all,
Lolly

Just another Bake - Chocolate and Beetroot brownies

Hey,

I've been busy looking up different bakes to create, and while flipping through a magazine I found a great recipe for Chocolate and Beetroot brownies. I know most people wouldn't think about putting Beetroot in brownies, but it just works sooooo well! I promise!

Here's what you need:

Ingredients

  • 150g Butter
  • 150g Dark Chocolate (Or milk if you like that better)
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 200g Caster Sugar
  • 2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 50g of Cocco power
  • 100g Plain Flour
  • 100g Cooked, peeled beetroot in natural juices

1. Preheat the oven top 190C, fan 170c, gas 5.
Grease and line a baking tray.

2. Break up all the chocolate into a bowl and heat over a pan filled with boiling water.          (Remember that chocolate melts at room temperature) Add the butter to the bowl and melt    into the chocolate.

3. Into a bowl, added the cooled chocolate and butter mixture.  Beat in the eggs with the caster sugar, flour, cocco power and vanilla extract.

4. Next you can either grate or like me slice into very small pieces the beetroot. Add to the mixture. Mix in well.

5. Pour the mixture into your prepared baking tray. Place in oven for 20-25 minutes.

6. Leave to cool.... Then Enjoy!!

Here's mine that I made:

I didn't eat them all myself, i did share them with my friends and family... But they were soooo good, I made another batch.
I cut my second batch into smaller pieces for more to share... or more bites to enjoy.

I'll let you know what I bake next.

Last Sundays trip to the Circus

Evening,

Life has been a bit crazy at the mo, I might share it with you soon when I'm ready, for now I'll just share about the fun parts in my life.

Last weekend I took my cousins, 5 year old and 14 year old to the local garden centre Frosts to see The award winning John Lawson's Circus which was in town. I hope my cousins would enjoy it, i wasn't wrong. Even i was enjoying myself with everything that was going on, entertainment was suitable for children with some adult humour thrown in too. Its all human acts performing show casing their great talents. The ring master lead the show, creating a fun atmosphere getting everyone involved with the show.

Moi and my main man Logan

Moi, Logan and my beautiful cousin Emily
Got Logan a light saber... He loved it.
Eating some love hearts and his said Cool Dude which he knows he is
The next one said "I Love You" when i asked who he loved he said Laura.... Just a little cutie.
The high swinging girl on the Trapeze
Never seen an act like this, loads of bubble tricks, I couldn't take my eyes off them.
Balancing act, a full family who were amazing.
The clown, Ring Master and my little cousin.

When the circus is back in town I think Logan wants us to go again.
I think my two cousins, Logan and Emily really enjoyed the circus, I love spending time with these two.  I love my family and wouldn't change them for the world, just wish i could spend more time with all of them.

On the way home Logan got the map out, I think hes planning out next trip.

Have a good week,
