Dear readers,
Today has yet been another wet day here in the UK, just like the rest of the week. AND the outlook for next week looks... WET!!! So what do you do when outside is wet and horrible? Head to the cinema right? Well that's just what my friends and I did today, having prebooked the tickets plus a cheeky pizza before hand to make sure we would be set for the film, which is 2 hours and 22 minutes.
Now if you have seen the films, Iron man, Thor or Captain America and enjoyed them, well you are going to love this film! However if you haven't seen any or maybe just one, don't worry (But where have you been?) this film explains it's self so you won't get lost. The film takes all your favourite super hero's and puts them in one amazing film!
From the start of the film you are thrown right into the story, with Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Agent Maria Hill (Cobie Smulder - Yes Robin from How I met your mother) as they Chase into action, clearing Shield's main offices to protect the people from a unknown force. The unknown force that presents himself, Loki (Tom Hiddleston) Thor's brother, he has evil plans for the Earth. Nick Fury knows he needs to be stopped however he needs to build a team - The Avengers.
Each character is introduce in their own way, showing their characters off for the full potential. Scarlett Johansson plays the Black Widow beautifully - Now I don't want to give away any of the film, but her introduction is classic female fighting!! She goes to collect Bruce Banner/ The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo His first time at playing this role and I want to see him in his own movie as the Hulk). Bringing all the hero's together aren't as easy as Fury would of hoped. The fight between Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Iron man (Robert Downey Jr) is incredible! I couldn't take my eyes away I wasn't quite sure what was going to happen next!! The special effects used to create this scene are... Wow, well you need to see it to believe it! Not only is there a lot of fighting, which you would expect, but the humour involved had the whole cinema laughing in their seats. Iron man has so many good lines - Robert Downey Jr is classic, the lines just roll of his tongue, so believable. Yet the best laugh out loud involves The Hulk, I'll let you discover it. My favourite scenes have to be when the main battle takes place, the movement from one character to another so fluid through the fight each character is taking part in. How they are working as a team but also their own individual battle with the enemy, from Thor and the Hulks fight with a giant monster, to Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) up in a building firing out his arrows, to Iron man flying through the sky, finally to Captain America kicking ass with Black Widow on the ground. This is a master piece, I'd love to know how they filmed this part then put it together.
Overall this is a must see film. One the adults and children will love, an action film for all the family. So while the rain is pouring outside and doesn't look inviting, head to your local cinema to catch this hero action film! Your hero's need you!

Battleship - The film
Dear film lovers
Last night I had a lovely catch up with my friend, we decided we would go to the cinema and see the new film out Battleship. Now I knew this was based on the game, you know the one we all played when we were kids, "9D, you hit my ship" Come on you remember right. Well my friend didn't work this out till half way though the film, don't worry let her off she is blond. So I had some idea about the film, set around water, which I wasn't wrong and boats (Correct again) however there were aliens (I don't remember these in the games). Well, you get the idea of the film, it all in the trailer. However this film is action packed, and did have me on the edge of my seat. The film is set in Hawaii, where the navy are meeting to have tests, however they don't expect to be tested by Aliens. When they crash land off the island near where the tests are taking place, the crew of the ships aren't quite sure whats happening. They aren't sure whether this is a test, but when they go to investigate they find something wants to invade.
This is Rhianna's first film, and I think she played the action chick role very well, I wouldn't mind seeing her in more films in the future, however I don't want her to stop singing. Also the film stars Taylor Kitsch, yeah the guy who was in John Carter the film by Disney. I didn't get to see that film, but my friend and I really enjoyed him in this film (He looked better after he cut his hair short). The muscles on him kept our eyes on the screen. Liam Neeson (Taken), Alexander Skarsgard (True Blood) and Brooklyn Decker (Just go with it) make up more of the cast, all helping create this film that I can't wait to come out on DVD so I can watch it again and again.
So if you have a free night this week and are heading to the cinema go see Battleship, it won't have you battling to get out of your seat.
Enjoy your weekend

Crafts
Dear creative people,
Yesterday was a bit of a wet day with sunny spells, much like today. I had planned in the morning on going for a run, however the rain didn't look like fun to run in, so inside I stayed. Instead of spending all day on my lap top or the wii playing games, I decided to get my glue and scissors out to get stuck into some craft ideas. Now my friends know I love crafts, I have made them a few different presents for their birthdays. So with one of my younger friends turning sweet 16 I thought I'd make her something that she can keep, remember good times too. Therefore out came a picture of her, her sister and I of when we went to see an Example gig. We had such a fun time, shopping before the gig and a late night drive home. I didn't just want to put the picture in a frame, so I decided to get a canvas, decorate the the back with the picture taking centre stage (sort of like a scrap book page). I used different paper, cello, ribbons and flowers to create a back ground for the picture. The design is now wrapped in bubble wrap (I did enjoy popping a few, like you do) to protect the picture ready for her birthday next week.

My friends Present - Don't tell her about it!! Shhhh
As I was in a craft mood I thought I'd make some cards. For years now i've been making my own birthday cards as well as other occasion's. I feel I can make them more special for the person, adding ages as well as their favourite hobbies, which I might not be able to find in the shops. Over the years I have collected plenty of different materials to use to create my cards, from contrasting papers to gems stones along with ready made shapes. I haven't decide who they are for yet, but my friends and family might have them for their birthdays this year. Hope you like them.
Here's a selection I made.
Take care everyone, enjoying crafting.

Beauty and the Beast
Dear Readers,
This evening I went to the theatre to watch the ballet, 'Beauty and the Beast' by the northern ballet company. Now I do enjoy ballet as I trained in this style of dance when I was young and this year have juts got back into classes, so being able to watch this locally was perfect for me. I took my mum with me to Milton Keynes theatre to watch this show. The story is classic one I remember from my child hood (A Disney film I have watch countless times), I must say it was a beautiful performance, it didn't disappoint. Right from the start the music and the stage pull you right into the story before the dancers started. On each side of the stage were mirrors, which the male lead was admiring himself, as I would say checking himself out. The dancers costumes were full of colour and helped to enhance their movement, for example the ladies dresses helped their turns seem bigger also more flowing.
The set on the stage kept changing so fluidly, it was so exciting to see where the dancers would be next. It was beautiful how the dances used all of the stage and the set, with the beast even climbing the walls at one part. It was all so magical.
There was also chuckles from the audience at humours moments with the dancers, their costumes helping to show their character, their movements were smooth. Each dancers had you mesmerised by their movement, showing off the skills they have.
I can over all say it was an evening well spent watching a delightful performance, and one I recommend to all of my friends. My mum said she was very pleased with the whole show, so I know it was money well spent. If you get a chance to go see this ballet or the company, I would while you get the chance.

Films
Hi people,
Today I went with friend to the cinema to see Cabin in the Woods. Now I'm not a person who would normally pick a horror film so I don't really know why I decided to go see this film, but I did. Sitting in the cinema before the film started I thought I had made a mistake. Now this film was a little confusing, cutting from the action to some guys who look they work in a big office of some sort. I don't want to spoilt it for anyone that wants to go see the film, but there are parts that do make you jump and parts where I had to hide as I really didn't wanna watch what would happen next. But over all the film was a little strange.
Now I do enjoy watching a good film, as I do make regular trips to the cinema with my friends. Mostly on a Wednesday so we can use Orange Wednesdays to make the trip a bit cheaper for my friends and I. I've seen plenty of films already this year. I believe, most of us enjoy going to the cinema to get lost in someone else world. To hear someone else's story. To see how other people deal with situations. We like to get lost in another world.
I love going to the cinema with my friends, hanging out, eating popcorn, chocolate and sweets. Mainly pigging out! We also love chatting about the characters, story lines and also the actors in the film.
The only question I have is what films should I see next??

Easter
Dear people
So today is Easter Sunday. A special day in the Christian calender, the day that Jesus came back from the dead. I'm not totally religious, I do believe in God and Jesus. However I don't really understand it all or agree with everything, but I do believe people should be allowed to follow whatever religion they choose.
Anyway getting away from the religious side of things. This year I gave up chocolate and crisps for lent!! Don't worry I would also call myself crazy, so many people have already called me this when I tell them what I gave up for lent. I must admit, not eating chocolate is not easy for a girl who has a very sweet tooth! But some how I've done it! No chocolate all the time through lent! whoop!!! *Pat on the back for me* So today I can finally eat the chocolate that has been building up around the house. Today to me is like Christmas!!
So happy Easter to you all, finally I'm gonna leave you all so I can get back to my chocolate. Enjoy any eggs you got given.

Book - I've got your number By Sophie Kinsella
Dear Girls
Do you want a new evening read for them quiet nights in? Well this might be the book for you!
Sophie Kinsella, (The author of The secret dreamworld of a shopaholic) has got a new book out, I've got your number.
This is an exciting new book from one of my favourite authors. I feel that her books are easy to read and always give you a little laugh with each of her characters. You contact with her characters in their strange situations. I find I can always put these books down and quickly get back in to the story, (however I don't find it easy to put a book down).
In this book our main character is Poppy, a girl who is about to get married to the man she loves, however close to her wedding she looses her engagement ring. It throws her into panic, also to make it worse her phone gets stolen. So when she finds a moblie phone in the bin and no one about to claim it, Poppy pockets it! Knowing she is doing the wrong thing she carries on anyway, just because she really need the phone. Though when the real owner of the phones get in touch, things start getting a bit complicated for Poppy.
Overall this is a fun story, one you could easily read on the beach on your summer holiday!
Enjoy,
Love Lolly
