Calling time

Hey,

This last week was 9 years since a school friend of mine died, it still hurts now when i think of him. He died too young at 17, not getting a chance to do so much in life. It makes me want to live every day to the full, love every moment, take chances as you never know when time will be called on your life.
There is a lovely poem i read once about not standing by my grave and weeping as I'm not there. While it was on my mind i thought I'd write my own:

Do not stand by my grave and weep for I am not there.

I have move on,

I am now somewhere else,

Doing the things i love,

Being with the people i have already lost.

As it's the best thing i can do.

Most of all i will be with you,

I was not blessed with that. 

I just tried, most of the time, 

To be the best person i could be....

I failed at times,

But learnt from my failures.

You gave me hope to succeed where others had failed,

I just wanted to give you the same hope.

As i kept you in mine...

Please don't stand by my grave to weep,

As I'm not there,

Just like you were inside mine. 

 Yeah i can be quite deep at times, but my head is full of thoughts and feelings, i feel writing helps. I need to share, this is the best way i can. I hope i reach others who feel the same, sending a bit of hope to them.

Today Is Foo Fighters DAY!!

Oh yeah, today is the day!! Wooop. All week has been leading to today.... I finally get to see the Foo Fighters!! Ahhhhhhhh (I'm a little excited if you can't tell) I now just need to decide what to wear (That's always the hard part).

This song is just amazing, I'm sure i feel it in my bones, just touches something inside of me... You know when you love a song when you just have to have it in your life, this is how i feel about this song. I still remember the first time it heard it, to which i had to play it again, again and again.
I can't wait to see one of my favorite bands today. Its been too long. I just need to hear the music, to sing, laugh to dance, to enjoy. That what good music does to you. Find what you need in this world that makes you smile, the little things are always the best.

Craft days

Hey,

 I love having a day to create, and on Thursday this week i had a day off... It was well needed as i was feeling shattered after a busy fun week at work. I'm enjoying my job, but as it gets busier i felt i need a day to do not much, therefore films and crafts were the only thing on the cards. It was just what i needed... Love it.

Here's what i made:

An anniversary card for my friend which is in October.. But I thought I'd have it ready.

For my parents who on friday celebrated 33years of marriage together.

Actually made this one Tuesday morning for my little cousins birthday. 

Made a few weeks back for a friend who's mum passed away. 

A cute birthday card.

Made a cute scrabble tile necklace... This was the first one I made, then decided to make more. 

Not quite sure who they are for yet.. 

This one is for me though ☺️

Then made this, which has my initial on it... Something no one else will have. 

I love creating pretty bits, might give some of these as presents... I just wanna make more.

Only one day till Foo Fighters

Heyyyyyy,

Tomorrow is the day I'm waiting for... finally getting to see the Foo Fighters after it feels like waiting year to see them again (Well it has been years) For some people they are seeing them today at Milton Keynes Bowl. I hope the weather hold out for both days, its been a bit of a wet morning where i live which is like just under an hour from the bowl... I hope it clears up later, but no matter what you'll get to see the Foo's.
So I've got one more day to wait... Ahhhhhhh!!! I know i can make it, I just can wait to hear them play again. Music always makes me feel better, when its live its the most amazing thing ever. Hearing the band sing and play their song to you, while you and the crowd sing back to them. Its just bliss, a slice of heaven for me.

Book review - The Girl On The Train

Morning,

I've been a busy bee reading some books over the summer... err well i actually read most of the time in june and july, but I'm only just getting chance now to blog about them... Sorry. I read this book back in june, I couldn't put it down, just loved the twists and turns through out the book.

To everyone else in this carriage I must look normal;

I'm doing exactly what they do: commuting to work, 

making appointments, ticking things off lists.

Just goes to show. 

I saw this book in sainsburys and heard good things about it so wanted to see what it was all about. Once i got into it, yeah i couldn't put it down. They story is told from the point of view mainly of Rachel her life isn't going to plan, from the outside she looks normal, but demons from her past stop her from moving on. The other part of the story is told from Megan, her view is from the past, she should have it all, but just doesn't feel right in the world. Rachel spends her time travelling back and forth on to London, passing some houses she dreams of the life a couple have in one of the houses, making up stories of this happy couple she see every day... When one day she can be part of that world, but not all that happens is good. Her past is only doors away. 

I don't wanna give to much away in this book as its one you need to rad to understand, but it had me trying to work out each step of these characters. Working out how each life fits with another... 

If you get chance give this book ago, its one i don't wanna tell too much about, as the twists and turns will have you asking many questions. I've heard since i read the book that its gonna be made into a film staring Emily Blunt - so you know its gonna be good.

2 days to go till.... Foo Fighters

Morning!!!

Oh yeah its Friday! Wooooopppppp.... If can't tell I'm a little excited, I'm off work this weekend after working three weekends in a row, they have been good, plus quite busy so looking forward to a chilled one tomorrow followed by the main event on Sunday *Screams with excitement*

I love this song, remind me each day that when something happens in life to just to pick yourself up, keep heading forward in life and try again with the next step in life. The chorus just says it as it is....

Book review - Wedding Night

Evening,

This post is a little late in the day, but I'm getting it out here while i can.

Today's book is another from Sophie Kinsella, one of my favs.

What do you do when you think

first love. She decides it must be Fate, and rushes off to 

marry him and rekindle their sizzling Greek island romance.

This is a fast moving fun book, telling the story of two sisters from their points of view through out the book, Fliss the older sister, knows what its like to married to the wrong man, not that she knew he was wrong at the time. She's seen her world torn apart and doesn't want the same for her baby sister. Lottie just wants a man to love her, she thought she had found that with Richard, but when he doesn't propose when she thought he would on their romantic meal out, she questions their future. Then when an ex turns up out of the blue, Lottie feels like this is what love must be like, after many years of not seeing him, she feels he's been whats missing in her life, a quick suggestion of marriage and the two are off to get hitch. Fliss isn't gonna let her sister make the same mistakes she made in life, this marriage  isn't going to last, therefore she not gonna let it get past the starting post.
A tale of two sister, both with best intentions, however you'll love the craziness of their lives, feel the same way about men they do, as well as the love only two sister can share.

I hope you enjoy it, as its another great book by Sophie Kinsella.

Hello,

I'm finally having a day off from work today, its been crazy busy, but i love it! Therefore today I'm having a chill and getting all the jobs done that I've been putting off this last week. I had a long drive yesterday with my work colleges to a store a bit further out, so what did we do to keep us up beat? Played Foo Fighters in the car!!

I do know this about life, be kind to one another, treat others as you want to be treat, i don't see the point in hate... As there is one thing for sure in this life, "No ones getting out of here, alive" - this line is the truest ever written... i think i just understand this song so much, as i do believe that you should never say forever, as nothing last, its just a feeling you have, but forever can be a life time, or just a minute... People its a feeling not a time period.
