100 happy days

Hello, 

Last month someone on my Facebook shared this link which was quite interesting... It's about thinking about everything that happens through out the day and think about what made you happy that day, it could be the littlest thing but it still made you smile. You record this everyday for 100 days by taking picture and it's meant to make you feel happier within and after these 100days. 

I've been sharing my pictures on Instagram with my friends as many of my photo's contain them too, plus it's always great to share your photos to share the happiness. 

These photos might not mean much to anyone else but that do too me. Here's what I've taken so far. 

Day 1 - My beautiful bunny blossom

Day 2 moi after swimming

Day 3 a book and DVD I ordered... Have read and watch them both now.

Day 4 moi feeling sleepy and cuddling up in my bed

Day 5 got given this DVD to watch... And loved it!

Day 6 my friend baked me this.. It was yummy

Day 7 a work friend gave me this as I love bunnies and chocolate.

Day8 went to visit a friend who has just had twins... A happy little family.

Day 9 my work friend brought in her son's minion... I want one!!

Day 10 was getting ready for valentines at work... So many roses!

Day 11 this was valentines day and I got given a rose, a cup cake and a box of goodies from friends... I might not have a boyfriend instead I have great friends. 

Day 12 I had time to start my book... Finished it really quickly too... But loved it loads.

Day 13 this made me smile... He was just chilling in the car.

Day 14 moi at home after a good time at my ballet lesson.

Day 15 my friend Claire with her birthday present which was the next day.

Day 16 night at the theatre to see Wicked!

Day 17 feeling low at work, so my colleague brought us loads of sweets to keep us going. 

Day 18 treated myself to my favourite chocolate bar.

Day 19 spent the day with my friend planing her wedding, these are shoes she designed in look mag! 

Day 20 had afternoon tea out with my friends for a birthday treat for my friend. 

Day 21 cooked a healthy dinner for myself... Yummy.

Day 22 spent the day listening to the radio... I love music. 

Day 23 my friend took me to the cinema for a girly night.. Always nice to be treated. 

Day 24 at work we got given free cookies by our local shop... I love free food!! 

Day 25 made this at work... It's a really pretty colour. 

Day 26 a joke at work... They do make be laugh.. Ps that me on the left laying on the work bench. 

Day 27 moi on the train to London. 

Day 28 my feet and shoes... I love ballet. 

Day 29 pancake day!! My yummy pancakes.

Day 30 got given a necklace... Cute. 

Day 31 went out for a meal with work friends, this was my dessert. Yummy Oreo's. 

Day 32 my other bunny Bella, she had cuddles with me, such a beautiful girl. 

Day 33 made this at work for a funeral. I love using textures. 

Day 34 moi and my friend Clare in London, you can just see St. Paul's in the back ground. I love my girly nights. 

Day 35 facetiming my like a sister friend Sophia. We were chatting about a tv show we were both watching... Not a great photo of us both but still funny. 

Day 36 - I went to visit my nan and gramp, even though I had had my dinner, my nan still tried to feed me... I had only two chocolate bars. 

Day 37 had a game of how many maltesers can you hold in you mouth... So many giggles.

I'm only on day 37, so I've got many more photos to take, I'll share them with you too. I'm also sharing them everyday on twitter.

Birthday cards for March

Hey, 

This is just a quick one for you all, I made some cards last week and haven't shared them with you yet, therefore here they are :) 

This is for my mum for her birthday at the end if the month.

This is also for my mum, but for Mother's Day which is on 30th march this year.

These are for two big birthdays happening this month, a family member who is turning 50, and my old boss who is turning 70. Thought I'd better make more manly cards for them. 

The piggy card is for my God father as he loves pigs and the other one hasn't got a home yet, it might be added to and changed into a Father's Day card for June. 

Two small birthday cards for friends this month. 

Another two cute cards for birthdays... Yet undecided who will get which one. 

This one is a bit larger and such a cute way to say happy birthday. 

This is for a friend who loves baking... Her birthday is the 1st April but I put it in with the March Birthdays. 

I'm still planning more for next month when I get a day soon to have a full craft day.

Book Review - "I heart Christmas"

Hello,

I know its march... but still Christmas will arrive before you know it... If you can't wait that long you can always pick up a book to read about CHRISTMAS instead.

The blurb reads:

Angela's planning her very own

I know I'm reading this book after christmas but it was still a joy to read, and might have to read it again nearer christmas. Its follows on from the other books in the "I heart" series, you get to know more about Angela's life living in New York and the crazy times she takes on with her, friends (in New York and back in the UK), her family and her husband. Christmas is never quiet and Angela knows it. 

After reading this book all i want is more!! Ahhh hurry up Lindsey and write me the next book... Pretty Please.

World book day - the books I love as a child

Hello,

Today is world book day, and many of my friends who work as teachers have been dressing up and my other friends who have children have been dressing up as their kids as their favourite characters... Me I don't have kids or work in a school, so instead I've just been thinking of my favourite books from my childhood. Here's my top 10:

In at number 

10. The twits by Roald Dahl

This story alway had me laughing, it's about a couple that nobody wants to know, hairy, dirty and overall not very nice people. However when a big bird arrives at their house, things start to change for everyone. It's a classic every child should read.

9. The Story of Tracy Beaker by Jacqueline Wilson

A story of a young girl growing up in a care home, it gives you insights on how it's really like for children in care, how they wanting to fit in, but also to find their own family. You get to follow the adventures of Tracy and her hopes for the future.

8. Girls in Love by Jacqueline Wilson

Another book by Jacqueline Wilson, I read all her books when I was younger (10-12 and all that were out at the time) this was all about young girls who were all friends and their hunt for boys and their close friendship... There are more books to this series, which meant I got to enjoy more of these girls. 

7. Jess the Border Collie by Lucy Daniels

I loved this book a growing up as I always wanted a dog and loved (and still love) animals. The story is about a young girl who lives on a farm, her best friend is her dog Jess who is her partner on a series of adventure the two are taken on, from saving a young boy from drowning, and exposing a rival farmers tricks. 

6. The Very Hungery Caterpiller by Eric Carle

Now this book is from when I was very young, but still a great book (some of my friends still love it now and they are in their mid 20s). It tells the tale of a Caterpiller who eats so many different foods. 

5. The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett

This is a wonderful story of a young girl who moves in with her uncle and his family, she finds a door in a the wall in the main garden that leads to a beautiful garden where she spends so much of her time. 

4. Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter

Now I have a love for rabbits so as a child this book was perfect for me, I had a rabbit later in life called peter. But this is a beautiful tale of a young rabbit and the mischief he gets up to, while trying to steal carrots.

3. The BFG by Roald Dahl

A story with giants who steal children while they sleep, however the BFG is a kind giant who only wants to be friends with young Sophie, and protect her from the other evil giants. 

2. Where's Wally

Now I know there isn't much reading in these books but they were great to read growing up and searching for Wally in all the pictures... Ps I still love these books as an adult, helping my friends kids find Wally in the books, I'm sure I enjoy it more than they do. 

And my favourite book when I was growing up!!

1.Charlie and the chocolate factor by Roald Dahl 

I thought this book was amazing when I first read it, I can't tell you how many times I've read it and enjoyed it, and still now I want to go to a sweet and chocolate factory, see how they make everything plus get to eat some. I love the tale of this book, from how each child has flaws which their parents can't see (which is true in real life) and how Mr Wonker works his magic in wonderful ways. It is the story of the underdog, a young boy with nothing apart from his loving family, who wants nothing but to be with his loving family and is fascinated by this chocolate factory and it's owner. 

I now feel like I should go and pick up some of these child books to read and enjoy again. Hopefully in the future when I have children of my own, I'll be able to share these beautiful books that I have always loved and many more books.

More cards

Hey!!

I found some more picture of cards i made, that i forgot to share with you all, Sorry.

My mum's friend had twins recently two gorgeous little boys. 

The elephants are made from a stamp i have, i just coloured them in to look different.

The first card on the right is made from a cut out i already had,

but the hedgehog is made from a stamp. 

All these cards have been delivered to their new homes.

Book Review - "Allegiant"

Hey,

I've reviewed the first two books in this series so i had to tell you about this one too! It is the last book in the series, of the story of Tris.

The Blurb reads:

This story is told from dual perspective, from the oringal character Tris and now from Tobis (Four), you get to see how he feels about the life they are walking into away from the city they both have grown up in and have been hurt by. But what they find on the outside isn't what they both expected. Plus old faces who they thought was lost appear... Leaving many more questions to their world. Divergents are what they have been looking for, Tris is their main aim, however when her friends don't fit in a split appears around the once tight friendly group. How would you feel if you were told there was something wrong with you, that your whole life has been a lie, the only world you know has been a lie. Tris and Tobias must be strong together when everything is ready to tear them apart. Each knows they have a place in this new world, but can't forget the one they have left behind, but won't stop fighting for the one they have known. 

This book changes from character, giving you more of as view into the new world they are in, but I feel the story isn't as strong as the first two. I'm also a little sad to how the story ends, I don't want to give anything away but I wished for a different furturer for the couple I have fallen for, their story and their life. However it is always a choice we get to make, so in keeping with the book, as you go on into your future...Be brave....

birthday present gift

Helllooooo,

It was my friends birthday a few weeks ago, i know i'm late sharing this with you, but better late then never.
I got my friend a cute bracelet but wanted something to put it in, so i decorated up a little heart wooden box i had.

The top is a bright pink.

The sides are a light pink. 

As it was her 25th i wanted to make her something a little bit special. For her 18th when we were younger i made her a photo album that she could take to uni.

Therefore I made another little book of pictures for her.

This isn't the finished design and I don't have a photo of the finished design,

but you get the idea of what i made. In her finished one, i put in some writing

and more little cup cakes plus other little 3D items. 

Don't worry she love it all... I'm so glad! 

Overall i was a great little gift that i know no-one else who get her. Plus i think homemade gifts give that little bit extra, and are special.
