I needed some new wedges as they are perfect for BBQ's as with heels you can sink into grass, which can leave you looking stupid! You don't want that...

I chose these cute black wedges from New Look price at £19.99 which is a bargain!!

Now all we need is some sun shine... Please.

Handmade Cards - May

Hello,

Yesterday was my day off, I didn't want to leave the house, not just because of the weather, but I just needed to chill at home. I decided to get to work on some cards as I was running a little short for the up and coming birthdays.
Cute Girly Birthday Cards

Knickers for anyone?

Made just for the Dog lover

Race Cars

My friends have brought their first House
and are moving in next month so this is for them.

A few family friends are having baby's so I made this just in case.

I love making cards, and I'm sure on another day off soon I'll be making more that I'll share with you.

Enjoy your week,

Jewellery Stand

Hiya,

I've got plenty of pretty things in my room, so my parents brought me another addition to make sure I've got somewhere to keep all of my Jewellery.

I think it's a very vintage style, in a classic white. With plenty of places to hang my necklaces and earrings.

Fancy a new picture frame...

Afternoon,

While clearing out all my stuff I found loads of old photo frames, now most people would just through them out, but I had some paint just sitting around so I decided to paint them instead.
From this...

...To this.
Pink is more my colour.

Plain white with a touch of gold.

Now have a green frame and a blue frame.

These are plain brown... now more colourful, just my style.

I've still got some paint left, what will I find to paint next....

Home made gifts always make it extra special

Evening all,

I love creating different items, especially if they are gifts for my friends. Over the last few months I've been creating a few which I shall share with you over time, but firstly I've been decorating some gift boxes.
 Here's what I made:
These are the plain boxes I used

Dark pink lid, pale pink sides

The full set of boxes

I even decorated round tubs.

Dark purple lid with ribbons and flowers

Another view

Given as a gift with a bracelet inside.

These boxes will now make great gifts for friends and family, something just a bit extra special.

book review - At First Sight

Afternoon all,

Another book that i have read recently is a Nicholas Sparks Novel, "At First Sight".

The Blurbs reads:
Jeremy Marsh once vowed he would never do three things: Leave
New York City, give his heart away again after barely surviving one failed
marriage, and most of all, become a parent.

Now Jeremy is living in the small town of Boone Creek, North
Carolina, married to Lexie, The woman he loves, and anticipating
the birth of their daughter. Life seems to be settling down - until a
disturbing and mysterious message appears from the past. Wounds he
thought had healed are reopened, and Jeremy realises his old life is
closer to him than he thinks.

A story of secrets, asking you who can you trust, but do you follow your head or heart? A lovely story of a couple in love and the problems they face from their very different pasts.

I now just have to chose which of his books to read next.

Last weeks Trip to the ZOO!!

Hiya Everyone,

When the sun was shining last week (We seem to have lost it now!), my friend and I planned a day out, but weren't sure where to go, then I had a brain wave, and thought of the Zoo. Locally to where I live we have two very good zoo, firstly Woburn Safair Park situated in Woburn, Bedfordshire, which you can drive round the main park of the Zoo seeing Lions, Monkeys and many more ( Not in the same encloser! haha). The other Zoo is Whipsnade Zoo located near Dunstable in Bedfordshire. This is very near Dunstable downs so has so great views, but is full of plenty of animals, including Lions, Tigers, and Rhinos. I love seeing all the animals, my favourite are the penguins! I think they are so cute.

I took plenty of pictures of my day. I loved the zoo and had perfect weather.

The question is where do I to go next?

Flowers - Funeral flowers for a friends Nan

Hi,

Recently my friend has some very sad news, her Nan fell ill and was unable to get better, she died while in hospital. It was a hard and difficult time for all the family, I tried to be there for my friend as much as i could. One main place where I was helpful, the flowers. My friend asked me to help and create the design they wanted for the funeral, I thought I'd share them with you all.
Loose Style Lettering.

Based Style Lettering. Ribbon edge.

Natural Wooden Cross.

On a sad occasion like a funeral, it's a time for everyone to say their last good byes, remember all the good times. I feel that flowers are the last gift you can give to someone, make something that they would of loved. I know most people would say "Send me the flowers before I die" which is true, but the flowers at the funeral are as much for the family as they are for the person who is now missing from our lives.
My friend loved the flowers for her Nan, and I was so pleased that the day went well for her and her family.

book review - Lone Wolf

Hey,

Yes I've read another book by Jodi Picoult, I just can't help myself, she has so many books to enjoy that I'm working my way through them all. This past month I've been reading "Lone Wolf" a tale of a family.
The Blurb reads:
A compelling emotional drama of love and guilt that grips
from the very first moments.

Luke Warren would sleep in the dirt if it meant he could
be under the stars.

He lives by the laws of nature, and would surely want to
die that way.

But Luke is in a coma, and his family must make an
unbearable decision.

As tensions and secrets rise to the surface, the tragic accident which
brought them back together against the odds could well tear Luke's
family apart forever.

They know Luke would not want to live like this.
But how can they choose to let him die?

An absorbing read, which will have you turning the pages. You will be questioning which side is correct, to keep believing that he might wake up soon or one day in the future, or turn off his life support. This isn't a decision i would ever like to make, to be in this situation. In this tale, each family member has reasons, but the secrets over power everything for each of the characters. Things they know about their father and how each feels. This is a gripping story, a perfect distractions from your everyday life.

I hope you enjoy this book, I'm deciding which of Jodi Picoult's novels to read next.

Paramore's New Album

Dear All,

I must say I had been waiting for April to arrive for a while, not just in the hope of better weather... which hasn't really arrived yet, but because I found out that one of my favorite bands and a new album out to enjoy!!! Paramore have released their fourth studio album self titled was released on the 9th April and hasn't disappointed me or other fans I know. Its good to have the band back after all the changes they have been through, but knowing they are still enjoying producing music for themselves and fans. Two singles have already been released from the album, "Now" and "Still In to You".
Myself, I've put the album straight into my car, with the music turned up loud so I can sing along to the songs. I haven't chosen a favorite yet... but i'm sure it won't take long. All want next is to know when they will be touring in the UK.... "Smiley face"

film review - Iron Man 3

Hello,

I'm a week late writing this but i thought I'd do it anyway... Now like most people I'm still loving super hero movies and Iron man is one of the best!! The first two in this franchise are great films so as a fan you always worry that they might over do a franchise however the team behind Iron man 3 do not disappointing, this film is still full of everything you loved about the first two film, plenty of action, drama mixed in with perfectly timed humour!!! The film carries on from The Avengers, with the events that happened in New York still on Tony Stark's mind, he's busy building many more Iron Man outfits and finding new ways for them to work. His one aim is to protect his love one, Pepper, but instead he creates a wall between them. A new enemy presents itself to the world, the Mandarin, a terrorist group who are causing trouble across the world, and are aiming for Iron Man. After a friend is hurt he steps up to take on the trouble, however he knows its not only him who could get hurt.
Through out the film there is plenty of humour, with great one liners from Tony Stark... There are too many to tell you. There is a part where he runs outside of the bar he's in and the iron man outfit is sitting along with motto bikes like it belongs... Just made me laugh.
Overall this is a fast moving film, plenty to keep you interested and a great addition to the franchise. I really can't wait to see this film again... I don't know if i can wait till the DVD comes out so might need another trip to the cinema soon.

Hope you enjoy your week,

Love Lolly
