Friendship Tree

Helllooooo,

I wanted to share with you this gift I got from my friend for Christmas. It was homemade which most of my presents from her are. She always makes such beautiful different gifts and this is no different.
It's a pretty tree, which I think could be used as a jewellery tree. My friend has made the pretty little bunting, and used luggage tags with messages attached.

It's such a pretty little gift, I've just got to find a place to show it off now.

Homemade gift tags

Heeeeyyyyyy,

My day off this week I got busy crafting, like I love to do. For Christmas I made some lovely gift tags and gave me an idea to make some ready for birthday presents this year.

I used luggage tags as they are easy to create on, plus looks so good.
I made a few different colours, so I could have a selection. I do like the small butterfly added in the corner, it's a nice 3D addition.

Now all the present will know who they are for and from.

Flowers to make my friend smile...

Hello readers,

As you many know from my previous posts I work as a florist for my main job, it can be very creative and I work with a great team, plus speak to the public every day. People send flowers for many different reasons, birthdays, anniversary, thank you, and many more. I sent some this week to my friend as she is having a difficult time. I wanted to share with you what I made, mainly cause I really like it and it let her know that I was thinking of her.

I though the purple and green would really stand out, and the flowers I used would last long as they naturally have a long life. The green blooms have a lovely texture and the colour of the carnations stand out next to them.

The flowers have work, and hopefully have brighten up her week.

So if you, or your friend is ever having a bad day, buy some flowers to brighten up your day.

My present from my brothers holiday

Afternoon,

My brother has just got back from a holiday visiting his friend in China. My brother loves to travel, we are very much the same in this, we both want to see the world and go different places, he has been many more places than me, but he's only two years older than me so I've still got plenty of time to catch up. Recently he went to China to visit his friend who is working over there for the year. My brothers friend is based in Beijing, so my bro thought it would be a great idea to visit him and explore Chin for himself. He has told me that he really enjoyed it, and that I would of loved it too! (Next time I'm going too!!)

Even though I didn't get to go he did bring me back a present... Yay!

He got me a note book as he knows I'm always writing, plus some chopstick... Two different types.

These have a rabbit on them for the year of the rabbit (it isn't my year but my brothers... He did get my year but I don't like snakes so he swapped with his)

And these chopsticks are like pencils.. Just a bit different.

Now all I need is to learn how to use the chopsticks... I might go hungry for a while.

New iPhone cover

Hey,

My last post was about what Jennifer Lawrence wore to the Golden Globes this week, and I compared it to Ariel's (Disney's Little Mermaid) dress when she first walks on land. Well I spotted the dress match straight away, mainly as I love the film "The Little Mermaid", she is my favourite of the Disney Princesses. My mum knows this so brought me a pretty phone cover.

Perfect cover for me!! Sooo pretty.
Just wish I could be a mermaid.

Jennifer Lawrence's Golden Globes dress

Evening,

Just under 24 hours ago no one knew who the 2014 Golden Globe winners would be, let alone what everyone would be wearing.

However it wasn't all about the winners on the night, I'd say it was more about the dresses the beautiful women of Hollywood wore!

The main stand out dress for me was Jennifer Lawrence, she makes any outfit look amazing, however when i saw her dress for the Golden Globes another Hollywood princess came to mine (Well she is a princess).

Dior Haute Couture Dress
I do think this is a lovely dress, however....

It did remind me a lot of Disney Princess Ariel's dress. When she first
gets her legs and goes on land....

Now Jennifer has worn hers, I can start wearing mine too... Like Ariel, Yeah?

Enjoy your week,

Love Laura

My Adventure Book

Hey,

I'm still on "I'm going to make 2014 my year" therefore i want to record all the fun stuff that happens. I was watching the film "UP" when it gave me inspiration. Ellie and Carl have a book that they record all of their adventures in... I wanted one of my own.

The book from UP, Ellie and Carl's

My very own "Adventure Book"

I take so many pictures that I wanted a place to keep them, and when better to start than in January. I've already started to add pictures from New Year Eve and a great piece of floristry i made at work. I hoping to put in tickets and pictures from evens and write as much as i can in it.
Now lets just hope this year brings some adventures!!

Craft items for presents

Hellooo,

Christmas has been and gone, it was joyful and time spent with family and friends. I can now share with you what else I made as presents for my friends. (I was worried they might see them on my blog and it would ruin the surprise)

I created two calendar for the year ahead.
I brought the paper work from Hobby Craft.
The backgrounds are all paper that I already had, and
used pictures that I had taken over the years.

They are very personal gifts which will last them the year. Each month they get a different pictures to enjoy from fun times. They were also fun making, using different coloured paper, ribbons and extras.

Can't wait to start my next project.

A little jar for the future

Happy New Year!!

Yea I'm like a week late writing this, but I've said it to you all now.
I want to make the most of this year which means spending time with the people I love, doing stuff I love and being who I want to be.. which includes having fun! Over the last year I had many changes in my life, some good, some bad, but my skin has been my main problem. I still trying find out what is causing it all, which is harder than it seems.
Therefore I've created a jar to remind me of all the good things that happen over the year. I got the idea for a picture I found on Pinterest.
The Jar reads:
"Starting January 1st, write all good things that happen to
you on little pieces of paper:
- Surprise gifts
-Accomplished goals
- The beauty of nature
- "LOL" moments
- Memories worth saving
- Daily blessings
Then on December 31st open the jar and read all the amazing
things that have happened to you in 2014!"

Its a great way of remembering all the good stuff that happens over the year, I've already started to add little notes to my jar.

Hope its going to be a good year... and the same for you.

London trip to Winter Wonderland

Hey,

I wrote this before Christmas but it was unable to upload for some reason but I still wanted to share it with you.
It was my Christmas trip with the girls to winter wonderland in London. We went last year and enjoyed it so thought we would go again.
We went Sunday morning to beat the rust and walked straight in, but be warned.. Go early as when we left at lunch time there were long ques to enter.

My friend Claire and me with a polar bear!

This was at one of the bars, a talking moose. Many people were standing watching him.
The ice rink, which draws in many people to the wonderland. Many people were giving it a go, some were better than others. There was a person singing in the middle in the main stand, which gave a very Christmasy atmosphere.
After going to winter wonderland we went for a walk round London and Covent Garden was where this photo was taken... A beautiful Christmas Tree in the back ground.

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and a happy new year.

Weekend to London

Hello,

A few weekends ago I had a weekend off work, so I went to London to visit my friend as I don't get to see her much. I'm lucky as she lives south of the river so we could jump on the underground and head in to the centre of the city.
We went to the main places, Leister square (my favourite!) piccadilly Circus, Carnaby Street, Covent Garden and then on to Spitalfields Market which is near Liverpool street station. I hadn't been to the market before but my friend loved it! She had been many time, and found many treasures to buy. So I was excited to see what I could find!!

There's what I found!!

Cutie nautical dress (I'm not sure about the belt but I have plenty of my own)
Priced at £10.00
I love bunnies so this was for me.
Priced at £5.00
Shirt for £10

Necklace was £8
This is a vintage map of Bedfordshire which is my home town... I think it will make a lovely picture hanging on my wall, when I find a frame big enough.

I loved my shopping day and can't wait to go back to London to find more treasures.
