Another day closer, 10 days till Ed

Hellloooooo

Oh yeah, only 10 days now!! Oh Ed not long till you get to over take Wembley.

This

This is the start of something beautiful
This is the start of something new
You are the one who'd make me lose it all
You are the start of something new, ooh

And I'll throw it all away
And watch you fall into my arms again
And I'll throw it all away
Watch you fall, now

You are the earth that I will stand upon
You are the words that I will sing

And I've thrown it all away
And watched you fall into his arms again
And I've thrown it all away
Watched you fall, now

And take me back
Take me home
Watch me fall
Down to earth
Take me back for

This is the start of something beautiful
You are the start of something new

Shopping trip to Cambridge

Hey ya,

Last week my friend and I went along to Cambridge a lovely place know for the colleges, the river and bikes. Its a beautiful place to visit with much to see. I myself have been there many times to enjoy the streets, the restaurants but like many people the shops too!
It's only 45 minutes drive from where I live so not far to get to, plus a great Park and Ride placed just outside the town, no need to dodge all the bikes or get lost where you are going.

I brought a few bits while visiting, not too much as I'm on a budget.
some shoes for work, Primark Priced at £3 a pair, you can't go wrong.

Some summer sandals £15.99 from NewLook

A striped Midi Skirt from Newlook £19.99.

I've already worn all these items, shoes for work and the sandals and skirt for a pub meet with my friend. The skirt is a lovely length for the weather, as is cool for the day time but long enough for the evenings.

my count down continues 11 days till Ed Sheeran

Morning,

The weather over the weekend was mixed, a bit beautiful sun shine on saturday (I caught the sun and turned a little red) then on sunday the rain arrived all day. I'm hoping for beautiful sun shine in 11 days. What a wonderful evening that would make it. How ever i can make the weather work for me, I'll just work with it.

DON'T

I met this girl late last year
She said, "Don't you worry if I disappear."
I told her I'm not really looking for another mistake
I called an old friend thinking that the trouble would wait
But then I jump right in
A week later returned
I reckon she was only looking for a lover to burn
But I gave her my time for two or three nights
Then I put it on pause 'til the moment was right
I went away for months until our paths crossed again
She told me, "I was never looking for a friend."
Maybe you could swing by my room around 10:00
Baby, bring a lemon and a bottle of gin
We'll be in between the sheets 'til the late AM
Baby, if you wanted me then you should've just said
She's singing
Ah lahmlahlah

Don't fuck with my love
That heart is so cold
All over my home
I don't wanna know that babe
Ah lahmlahlah
Don't fuck with my love
I told her she knows
Take aim and reload
I don't wanna know that babe
Ah lahmlahlah

A Sunday break

Got to love Sundays off,

The plan was to go for a lovely long walk with my friend... however the weather didn't want us to enjoy the country side, as the heavens opened. I didn't really want to walk about in the pour down, instead my friend and I wondered a few shops and stop at a local garden centre for a bit to eat.

This tasted amazing as it looks... Banoffee Pie.

I opted for a chilled Lemonade, Some Kettle crisps and the banoffee pie.

It was nice to be inside away from the rain. We just chilled, did a little bit of shopping but didn't buy anything this time, saw loads we might buy soon though.

Hope you enjoyed your weekend too.

The sunshine

Hello,

Yesterday we had beautiful weather, and with my friend we wanted to make the most of it.
A Saturday spent with friends, in a pub garden was just what I need to do after a busy week at work.

My bestie and moi

A cheeky bit of lunch.

Chilling my the river, catching some sun shine.

The sun shine just makes everything better, what a beautiful view.

Both of us getting a selfie in, while the sun is shining.

I'm looking forward to my next weekend off that I can enjoy in the sunshine.

12 days till Ed Sheeran

Hellooo!!

Guess what arrived the other day... My tickets to Wembley to see Ed Sheeran. Ekkk it makes it real now they are here. I'm still continuing my count down till i get to see him. I've been listening to his albums again, again, and again. Every time his songs come on the radio I screech with  excitement.

Today song:

Wake Me Up

I should ink my skin with your name
And take my passport out again
And just replace it
See I could do without a tan
On my left hand,
Where my fourth finger meets my knuckle
And I should run you a hot bath
And fill it up with bubbles

'Cause maybe you're loveable
And maybe you're my snowflake
And your eyes turn from green to gray
In the winter I'll hold you in a cold place
And you should never cut your hair
'Cause I love the way you flick it off your shoulder

And you will never know
Just how beautiful you are to me
But maybe I'm just in love
When you wake me up

Take from his debut Album +

Just love hearing the sound of his voice.

13 days Till Ed

Morning,

Oh yeah Saturday is here, the weekend ready for us to enjoy.
in 13 days I'll be listening to Ed fill Wembley with his voice.

Tenerife Sea

You look so beautiful in this light
Your silhouette over me
The way it brings out the blue in your eyes
Is the Tenerife Sea

And all of the voices surrounding us here
They just fade out when you take a breath
Just say the word and I will disappear
Into the wilderness

Should this be the last thing I see
I want you to know it's enough for me
'Cause all that you are is all that I'll ever need

I'm so in love, so in love
So in love, so in love

See you soon Mr Sheeran

14 days till Wembley

Heyyyyy,

Today we have now 14 days till i get to see Ed Sheeran at Wembley.
I wanted to share with you another song from his amazing work.

You need me, I don't need you

I sing and write my own tune and I write my own verse
Hell, don't need another word-smith to make my tune sell
Call yourself a singer-writer - you’re just bluffing
Your name’s on the credits and you didn’t write nothing
I sing fast, I know that all my shit’s cool
I will blast and I didn’t go to Brit School
I came fast with the way I act, right
I can’t last if I’m smoking on a crack pipe

And I won’t be a product of my genre
My mind will always be stronger than my songs are
Never believe the bullshit that fake guys feed to ya
Always read the stories that you hear on Wikipedia
And musically I’m demonstrating
When I perform live, feels like I am meditating
Times at the Enterprise when some fella filmed me
‘A young singer-writer like Gabriella Cilmi’

This tune just shows you how real he really is.

Last Weeks Trip to London

Hello,

I know I'm a little late writing this but I've been having a busy week.
Well two weeks ago (Yep its a late post, I know, sorry) I headed to London with my parents to see a west end show. We had prebooked tickets to see "Mamma Mia" in the evening, which we all loved the film, as well as Abba's music so have been waiting to see this show for a while.
We arrived early into London ready to explore some of the museums, but on pasting a few of the theater's my  parents thought we should try our luck at getting tickets for a matinee performance. We have all seen a few different shows, as we live an hour by train from London and are very lucky that we have Milton Keynes theatre on our door step. We past by Phoenix Theatre which has the new production of "Bend it like Beckham" only started in May. By luck we were able to get £15 tickets (These were front row.. which was very close, I'd advise getting a seat back for a better view).
This show is worth going to!! Just an amazing show, telling a story I remember from my early teens.

The story centres around Jess a young girl who loves to play football, she's a striker with a love of David Beckham... No one comes close in Jess's eyes. However in her family its not right for a girl to be playing football, with all them men. It's looked down upon.

When she meets another girl who loves football Jess is lead into another world where Girls playing football is fine... not just that she's on a team, winning games, just enjoying herself. However with her family not happy about her playing football, her sister getting married and her new bestfriend liking the same guy... its not all just about the beautiful game.
This is a colourful show, with the perfect mix of songs that will have you singing away too. It's one I'd love to see again soon. Just amazing with a wonderful cast that made it all so enjoyable.
It doesn't change too much from the film, so is still the story you know and love. If you get a chance to see this, go see it!!

All the pictures have been taken from the musical's website, where they have more and loads of info.

The second show that we got to see was the evening performance, after grabbing a subway as we didn't want a sit down meal, we strolled along the river until half an hour before the show to see "Mamma Mia" at Novello Theatre not far from Covent Garden.

On the eve of her wedding Sophie using her mothers diary she invite three men to her wedding who could all be her father. She hopes when she meet them she will know who her father is...
Set on a beautiful Greek Island, Sophie just wants to know who her father is, its the last thing she knows she need to know before she can get married. This beautiful tale is told using ABBA songs which we all know and love at perfect times though out the show. Just so many songs fitted in, from "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!" to "The Name of the Game" Plus including "Take a Chance on me" and sooo many, many more, you'll be singing along too (I know i was, plus both my parents)
Its a fabulous show, with detail to each song fitting in perfectly with the story line. A simple set, and wonderful cast who performed perfectly. Overall superb show to see.

After a great day in London and two shows under out beats it was no wonder that we fell asleep on the train ride home. Don't worry we woke up in time to get off at the right stop and make it home.

I love going to London, I'd live there for a while if i could... So much to do, but enjoy.
Till next time London.

Count down to Ed

Hello,

Today is 15days till I see Ed Sheeran at Wembley... Oh yeah!
Today's song I wanted to share is the new single from his album X

Photograph:

Loving can hurt

Loving can hurt sometimes
But it's the only thing that I know

When it gets hard
You know it can get hard sometimes
It is the only thing that makes us feel alive

We keep this love in a photograph

We made these memories for ourselves

Where our eyes are never closing

Hearts are never broken
Times forever frozen still

So you can keep me

 Inside the pocket

Of your ripped jeans
Holdin' me closer
'Til our eyes meet
You won't ever be alone
Wait for me to come home

just such beauty in these words...

See you soon Ed!!

Update!!!

Just watched Ed's music video for this song... It's so cute!! Many videos of Ed growing up, showing baby videos, and life running around. Its wonderful. I'd love someone to go through all the children videos of me (and my bro as we are in them together) it would just be fun to watch all the videos together. Also quite funny... I know of one where me and my bro are fighting over a cardboard box!! Children hey! There is one of me when i was little sitting at the top of a slide... but i wouldn't come down, you can hear my grandad saying hes watching, "come on" he says. Turns out i wouldn't go down the slide as no one was watching!! Well i don't remember it, and im defo not like that now.
I might post these videos online one day.

Wanna Read It Wednesdays - Book Review: Sleeping Arrangements

Morning,

Hope you all have a good day planned, the sun hopefully will be shinning outside... however this is England so anything could happen, like rain or even snow in June!! Moving on, I wanted to share with a book from Madeleine Wickham, the other name you might know her as is Sophine Kinsella. She writes under two different names for the two different tones of her writing style. (Ps Madeleine Wickham is her real name).

The book I want to share with you is Sleeping Arrangements.

Chloe needs a holiday. She's sick of making wedding
dresses and her partner is having trouble at work.
Her wealthy friend Gerard has offered the loan of
his luxury villa in Spain - perfect.

Hugh is not a happy man. His immaculate wide seems
more interested in the granite for the new kitchen than in
him, and he works so hard to pay for it all, he barely has
time to see their children. But his old schoolfriend Gerard
has lent them a luxury villa in Spain - perfect.

Both families arrive at the villa and get a shock: Gerard has
double-booked. An uneasy week of sharing begins, and
tensions soon mounts in the soaring heat. But there's also a
secret history between the families - and as tempers fray,
an old passion begins to resurface...

I read this book while on my holidays at the beginning of the year, and sitting on a beach reading about other people on a beach did help the mood... Unlike the rain outside in JUNE in ENGLAND!! This book is a story of two families and their problems, plus a link between them that takes them back many years unknown to some. It has a tale of lies, mistakes, but also what ifs that we all think about in our life... Dream of what could of been.
Its a good book to take to the beach.. or the park to read, but to dream of your holiday away... make sure you aren't booking it through your old friend Gerard.

I hope you enjoy this book,

Till next time,

Love Lolly

New count down...

Hey,

A few weeks ago I did some post about mew getting excited for Foo Fighter's gig at Wembley... Well at I told you all and you probably heard heard that due Dave Grohl hurt his leg (Broken) the gig got canceled. I'm still gutted, since heard i should be getting a refund this week.
Moving on I've got another gig coming up in July... Yes it's at Wembley too... I'm keeping my fingers crossed nothing goes wrong this time round as I've waited years to see this man, I've seen him perform one song live, but other than that I haven't been able to get tickets to one of his gigs.... Till NOW!!!
On the 10th July I'm going to see one of my Mum's favorite (Shes not coming with me thought... awkward) He's also one of my Favs tooooooo!! Its the main man Mr Ed Sheeran (Or as my mum calls him " Aawww it's Eddie!)

Oh yeah, I've got a two tickets, for me and my friend to see Him... I can't wait!! Therefore I've sharing some of his song lyrics with you, just to enjoy.

16 DAYS!!!

Where do you start... I'm gonna start at the beginning with his first hit (The one that hit him into the big time), The A Team Taken from the Album "+"

And they say
She's in the class A Team
Stuck in her daydream
Been this way since eighteen
But lately her face seems
Slowly sinking, wasting
Crumbling like pastries
They scream
The worse things in life come free to us
And we're all under the upper hand
Go mad for a couple grams
And we don't go outside tonight
And in a pipe we fly to the motherland
Or sell love to another man
It's too cold outside
For angels to fly
To fly, fly
For angels to Fly, to fly, to fly
For angels to die

Just a beautiful song...

See you there Ed!!

ps... keep safe, I really, really can't wait tooo see you. Mwah

My dads "Father's Day" gift

Hello,

This is a few days later, I know I know, Father's Day was on Sunday and I didn't really get to spend it with my dad as we were both working. I did get to see him before I went to work for a while. I made him bacon sandwiches to enjoy, plus a cup of tea.
His present was suited to him, DVD's his fav, and a card which I thought was perfect.
Best of the British sitcoms (Well it was one I grew up with)

The best part, I think, the card!!
Oh yes... He helps me with the spider.

Love my dad.

Canceled

Hello,

It's taken me a while to write this as I've been a little upset. From my previous posts on here you'll know on Saturday I'm meant to be going to see the foo fighters at Wembley, however as of last night the show got cancelled due to Mr Dave Grohl being unwell due to his broken leg. Now I'm gutted and devastated, but I know it isn't anyone's fault.... He isn't well, I'd rather him get better, and perform at his best than only sit in a chair feeling uncomfortable and not into the show. Now I know Dave and the rest of the band will be heart broken not to be doing the show, they are the type of band who wouldn't want to let their fans down, plus as a fan I truly understand. I only have well wishes towards the band, plus I want Dave to take time to get back to full health so he and the rest of the band and crew can come back to give us the fans, one all mighty show.
If you didn't read the message from Dave and the band on their web site, it was a wonderful message that I was tearing up reading it, feeling how Dave must be gutted just like his fans.

I'd planned to blog one of their songs everyday till I got to see them on Saturday, mainly as I was so excited but also to enjoy the vast music they have made. It's always great to revisit songs, also to love the lyrics.
This was my list (pre planned two weeks ago)
As you can see walk was gonna be on the day... And now it means more than every due to Dave not being able to walk right... But it's also one of my favourite songs,

So now, I'm just waiting to hear when the event will be rescheduled, and I can wait like any fan as all we want is Mr Grohl and the band at top form.

Here's to you Mr Dave Grohl... Get well soon, you legend!

Here's some pictures from my previous Foo Fighter Gigs.

Moi and my friend Chrissie when we saw the Foo's at Milton Keynes Bowl back in 2012...
Dave just doing his thing!

Another of moi and my friend Chrissie at Reading Festival in 2012 when we got to see Foo Fighters head line... They were amazing both times!

Much love Dave.

Ps see you soon guys!

One last song...
One of my favs... These days

One of these days the ground will drop out from beneath your feet
One of these days your heart will stop and play its final beat
One of these days the clocks will stop and time won't mean a thing
One of these days their bombs will drop and silence everything

But it's alright
Yeah it's alright
I said it's alright

Easy for you to say
Your heart has never been broken
Your pride has never been stolen
Not yet not yet

One of these days
I bet your heart'll be broken
I bet your pride'll be stolen
I bet I bet I bet I bet
One of these days
One of these days

One of these days your eyes will close and pain will disappear
One of these days you will forget to hope and learn to fear

But it's alright
Yeah it's alright
I said it's alright

Easy for you to say
Your heart has never been broken
Your pride has never been stolen
Not yet not yet

One of these days
I bet your heart'll be broken
I bet your pride'll be stolen
I bet I bet I bet I bet
One of these days
One of these days

But it's alright
Yeah it's alright
I said it's alright
Yes it's alright

Don't say it's alright
Don't say it's alright
Don't say it's alright

One of these days your heart will stop and play its final beat
But it's alright

Easy for you to say
Your heart has never been broken
Your pride has never been stolen
Not yet not yet

One of these days
I bet your heart will be broken
I bet your pride will be stolen
I bet I bet I bet I bet

One of these days
One of these days

5 Days to go

Hello,

Only 5 days to go, and as far as I've heard saturday is still going ahead, but i've heard no new on how Mr Grohl is, sending my well wishes.

Oh sweet ignition be my fuse
You have no choice you have to choose
Bid farewell to yesterday
Say goodbye I'm on my way

But in the end we all
Come from what's come before
So here I go...
